Oh boy… how much frustration those computer renders caused me in interior design school. To the point where I was questioning my abilities and genuinely considering quitting my studies. WEEKS spent on learning the basics of that 3D software! HUGE loans for subscriptions that cost four figures a year. Extra classes. And STILL feeling like I was doing something wrong! One day I hit my limit.

My mom (she’s an architect) was helping me with a project, and she kept explaining everything through quick little sketches. So I joined her. I dropped the render, picked up a pencil… and instantly felt relief.
Creativity.
Clarity.
And I suddenly started standing out, because sketches have that magic spark renders never will.

That’s when I realized:
drawing isn’t about talent - it’s a tool to communicate your brilliant ideas with the world.
Talent is crap anyway.

Paper sketches were great, but they still felt a bit limited.
So I moved to the iPad, and THAT’S when everything changed. Instant revisions. Instant idea testing. Total flexibility. It felt modern, intuitive, and honestly… addictive.

Since then, I’ve only been sketching. First for my school projects. Then for my job. And eventually, as my full-time career drawing for leading brands and agencies worldwide. Turns out, what they were secretly searching for was exactly what I had: artistic touch + digital precision.

My iPad sketches secured me 4- and 5-figure illustration deals, dream clients, and yes, I’ve literally been approached by strangers in cafés because they saw me drawing a bird’s-eye view and said: “We need this for our property.”
