The rule I broke to stand out (with AI + iPad)

This is the newsletter where I want you to stop waiting for that magical moment of "feeling ready."

Exactly THAT one:

"When I’m ready, I’ll apply."
"When I’m ready, I’ll share my work."
"When I’m ready, I’ll pitch my dream client or university."

And here’s the truth they forgot to teach us at school which could have saved years of doubt for us:

"Ready" doesn’t come. YOU CREATE IT.

And not in that fluffy “repeat affirmations until you believe them” way - no. I mean ACTUALLY building it: a portfolio and confidence so strong that your dream clients can’t possibly say no.

How do I know?
Because this is exactly how I’ve been doing it for almost 15 years.

I figured out how to ↓
Reach out manually to the exact people I wanted to work with
Present my portfolio in a way that spoke their language
Make them notice me

It’s part skill, part psychology, and part structure. And once you have those pieces in place, confidence stops feeling forced - it becomes AUTOMATIC.

1️⃣ SO, on to skills.

Listen, to develop a truly unique style in ANY field - one that is SO magnetically yours and stands out in a sea of competitors - you need this:

Foundations: Know the rules.

Courage: Be bold enough to break them.

Vision: Build something so unapologetically yours that no one else could replicate it even if they tried.

2️⃣ And here’s the psychology part:

It’s about believing that when you break those rules and create something so unapologetically you, you become the #1 expert because no one else has that vision or skillset.

The only option is to build a brand that’s IMPOSSIBLE to ignore. 

3️⃣ And now, structure. This is when things get truly fun!

If 15 years ago - or even 5 years ago - you wanted to get noticed, you had to:

• Search for contacts manually
• Build a portfolio from ONLY “real” client projects
• Read 1,000 books on marketing and branding just to figure out how to put your work in front of the right people

But today... YES, MY FRIEND, we have AI.

This is where the magic comes in bringing it all together.

•  AI for researching, prepping, and building your dream project with “real” before-and-after results so convincing that no one could guess it’s not from an actual client
•  AI for finding the right people (no more generic "info@" inboxes)
•  AI for aesthetics - crafting visuals in the exact style your ideal client is searching for

I still remember when I had to BUY (!!!) giant email lists of potential clients for outreach because I had no idea where to even find the right people. Or using those sad "hello@" inboxes because I didn’t know who else to contact just to get my portfolio reviewed.

Skip. All. This.

I won’t even start on AI’s endless idea generation because by now, it’s practically a given.

All this means one thing: NOW is the time for our creativity to shine. Merge it with the modern tools at our fingertips PLUS our beloved iPad and all the career opportunities it unlocks AND there’s truly no ceiling anymore.

Honestly, writing this has me excited!!

AND speaking of excited: I’m also working on my very first coloring book. Yes, some ideas came from AI BUT I redesign and restructure everything on my iPad until it looks fully like me, with the exact future aesthetic I want.
