Make Art for Your Walls - On Your iPad
May 30, 2025
Today, I have a slightly unusual question for you:
When you look at the artwork in your home - does it hold a story, a memory, or a moment that means something to you?
Not just those mass-market prints we all bought at some point because they looked “aesthetic” - guilty here too :D I remember thinking, “Okay, this matches the sofa… so I guess it works.”
But deep down it didn’t feel like me.
So what if I told you there’s a simple way to create truly special artwork YOURSELF - something you can print in A1 size, frame, and smile at every time you walk by?
Let me show you what changed for me when I finally decided to stop buying someone else’s “nice art” AND draw my own.
This is how you turn your space into a gallery of your own ideas, memories, and creative style.
And yes - you save a ton. The only cost? The print shop + the frame. The art is 100% yours.
Okay, let’s dive in 🎨
We’ll be working inside the Procreate app.
Here’s how I built mine:
Choose your final canvas size
Start with a rough composition sketch
Add base colors, shadows, and final texture strokes
Brushes used: gouache, crayon, smooth marker, digital pencil
For this particular piece, I used canvas size: 43 x 56 cm / 300 DPI
You can totally follow along with your own variation.
